Summer is almost here! Time to start thinking about swim lessons and lemonade. Floaties and pool noodles. If your child is anything like mine, they will swim in a puddle. We have a few wonderful community pools where we can cool off and get that energy out. These pools are the best places that offer swim lessons in Medford, Oregon, and across Southern Oregon.
The YMCA if you are in Grants Pass is a perfect place to take your littles for water safety. The Y also has preschool swim and even lifeguard training, Great summer training for your teen!
Next, check out Rogue Aquatics. Not only do they have swim lessons in Medford, Oregon, but they have scuba, lifeguard, and swim instructor lessons. They have year-round swimming, a great way to get some low-impact exercise.
Cascade Community Pool is located in White City, this is an indoor pool with year-round services. From as young as 4 months old you can begin teaching your child water safety and how to feel confident in the water. This is so important for children who will be playing near or around bodies of water.
There are many more local pools where we can take advantage of the services they offer. Please be safe this summer and have fun!
Where are some of your favorite places to take your children to cool off? Be sure to bring cool drinks and snacks as well as cover-up suits or sunscreen. I love the long sleeve suits, with the kids in and out of the water so much it’s hard to keep replying sunscreen. Zinc-based protection on the face is great! For mom and dad, a nice shade umbrella is great as you will be getting sun too! Get in the water with your kids and enjoy your summer days!
